Old compaq presario computer from 2003 booting up, then searching the hard drive. Recorded from the inside of the computer case behind the hard drives. With motorola xt1095.

This sound was created off my black'n'white unfamusic waveform logo. A big (5300x1200) png image was saved as 32-bit uncompressed bmp, and then imported into audacity as raw data in stereo mode, 24-bit unsigned @ 192khz.

You can use this as a intro for youre track , with a distorted vague sound coming up with volume.

Simple kick.

This is probably one of the best snares i have made yet. Hard transient, tape saturated, and squashed to bits, when played with very bright sounds and heavy bass, this really can handle it, and cut through.

A western digital drive refusing to mount. Recorded on a sennheiser me66 k6 microphone, in camera on a sony nex fs700. Hum in the background is the air-conditioned office.

This is a beat i made for a d'n'b project i was working on. Its been eq'ed and compressed quite a bit to get the drums slamming(like pendulum!!!).

Weird sounds with my voice.

This sound was very simple to make. I just took the sound of an opera singer singing a scale and added reverb to it. Nothing more, nothing less. The sound does not have to bee used for just ghosts, but pretty much anything. Like an opera singing in the shower. By the way, this sound was used in a song that i made. I have a lot of old hard drives, some of which are still working and others are damaged. My project is collect the sounds produced during start-up. To do this i use a digital recorder zoom h4n using the two incorporated microphones and two 'diy'ed contact microphones additionally. This here is the sound of a western digital caviar 32500 working fine.

My heartbeat recorded using a shure dynamic microphone and adobe audition. Sounds very dark, my sunblind vibrates when i'm turning the volume up far enough :d.

An excelstor hard drive manufactured in 2004 close up; spin up, writing, spin down. This drive has 1 platter. (excelstor j680).

A 7200 rpm western digital hard drive spins up, idles for about 15 seconds and shuts off. Nice motor noises along with the spin up. Recorded using a zoom h1n recorder very close to the hard drive. Noise reduction and cuts made using audacity.

A ceramic plate, and glass cup set down, on a table.

The giant 1000 liter wine tank at red maple vineyard in the hudson valley - west park, ny. This sounds amazing for "old vocals"a very springy plate tank reverb. Complex and colorful. White and pink noise was played through two speaker exciter transducers attached the outside of the tank. 12gaugemicrophones black212 blumlein microphone inside the tank into behringer xr18, logic pro. Feel free to use as you like but please do mention the source if you can. @manysounds.

Ambiance of a coffee shop.

Sounds of an 1,5 mm aluminium sheet sized 2x1,5 meters. There's also some sounds of paper the sheet was covered with. The recording starts with me sayin "blacha aluminiowa" whitch means "aluminium plate" in polish. Captured with zoom h2 @ 96khz/24-bit.

Linear decay produced from stereo pink noise to reproduce 80's plate reverb in a convolution reverb plug-in. This can be filtered to find best character.

The sound of a glass bowl sliding across a countertop.

Dishes i moved around in the sink and against eachother. Some water and wet sounds too. Recorded with sony tcd d10 pro ii & sennheiser md21u.

Raw audio of a recording of me washing dishes then rinsing them and then drying a few of them. Recorded on a handy h2 zoom recorder.

Realised to my dismay that this sound was not available. A card tapping and scraping on a ceramic plate. Designed to imitate the noise of cocaine being cut up. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 in a 4m square kitchen. Tea towel was placed under the plate to cut out an excessive noise from the plate itself. Recorded with a low frequency cut off at 80hz.
